The 19th Beijing International Automotive Exhibition (Auto China 2026) was grandly held from April 24 to May 3, 2026, at the China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi Hall) and the Capital International Exhibition Center in Beijing. With the theme "Future of Intelligence," this edition of the show, one of the world's largest and most influential Grade A auto exhibitions, has showcased the latest achievements of China's automotive industry in technological innovation, industrial chain upgrading and global development, serving as a key window into the high-quality development of China's manufacturing sector.
As a "weathervane" for the development of China's automotive industry, Auto China 2026 attracted over 1,000 enterprises from 21 countries and regions worldwide, with a total exhibition area of 380,000 square meters, a record high. During the exhibition, Chinese independent brands collectively unveiled 181 world premiere models, accounting for over 60% of the total, covering a full range of products including pure-electric supercars, intelligent driving flagship vehicles and new energy commercial vehicles. A number of cutting-edge technologies, from solid-state batteries and megawatt-level ultra-fast charging to in-vehicle AI large models and drive-by-wire chassis, have achieved the leap from technical verification to large-scale mass production, fully reflecting the systematic breakthroughs of China's automotive industrial chain in core "three-power" technologies (electric motor, battery, electronic control), intelligent connectivity and high-end manufacturing. New-generation technical solutions from Chinese brands such as BYD, Huawei, NIO and Li Auto have demonstrated the hard power and innovative vitality of "Made in China" to the world.

China's automotive industry is currently in a critical stage of transformation from scale expansion to quality improvement and from factor-driven to innovation-driven development. At this year's Beijing Auto Show, overseas buyers, industry experts and diplomatic envoys paid close attention to the development achievements of China's automotive industry, generally recognizing that China's auto industry has broken away from traditional impressions and become an important leading force in the global automotive industry with its technology, quality and innovation capabilities. From "Made in China" to "Created in China," from product exports to technology exports, China's automotive industry is driving the restructuring of the global automotive industrial landscape with end-to-end technological innovation.
The successful holding of Auto China 2026 is not only a concentrated epitome of the decade-long transformation and upgrading of China's automotive industry, but also demonstrates China's firm determination to adhere to high-level opening-up and promote the coordinated development of the global automotive industry. In the future, China's automotive industry will continue to deepen technological innovation, improve the industrial chain layout, and contribute Chinese strength to the green and intelligent transformation of the global automotive industry with higher-quality development achievements.
